Govt decides to keep plane on stand-by to bring bodies of Nepali killed in Israel



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to keep a plane on ready position and establish coordination with the Israeli side to repatriate home the bodies of Nepali nationals killed in the ongoing conflict in Israel.

A meeting today of the Coordination Mechanism headed by Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud took a decision to this effect. The government on Sunday formed the Mechanism to take the required decision in the aftermath of the ongoing conflict in Israel and the Nepali nationals affected due to this.

The meeting also decided to find out way to relocate the Nepali citizens in Israel to safe areas.

The Mechanism is tasked with figuring out the condition of Nepali citizens, taking the required decision in case rescue has to be carried out, establishing coordination and providing assistance etc after carrying out regular monitoring and overall assessment of the situation in Israel.
