Dr Koirala advocates for NC-led govt amidst allegations



CHITWAN: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has emphasized the urgency of forming a government led by his party to counter the allegations leveled against it.

Speaking at a district-level meeting organized by NC Chitwan on Saturday, Koirala expressed his concern that despite the NC’s presence in the government, they have been unable to accomplish much due to efforts aimed at casting various doubts on the party. He stressed the necessity of establishing a Congress-led government to counteract these challenges.

Dr. Koirala also asserted that a Congress-led government is vital to address the ongoing political, economic, social, cultural, and religious turmoil in the country.

He maintained that maintaining a direct election system is crucial, as the current electoral framework makes it challenging for a single party to form a government in Nepal.

Furthermore, Dr. Koirala emphasized the need for party leaders and activists to transcend individualistic tendencies within the party for its overall success.
