Govt appoints Dr Jha as Medical Education Commission Vice Chair



KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Prof Dr Anjani Kumar Jha as the Vice-Chair of Medical Education Commission.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers decided to appoint Prof Dr Jha to the post.

Likewise, the government also approved the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Strategy, 2080 BS.

As per the decision of the cabinet meeting held on September 7, a five-member delegation with Madhu Kumar Marasini, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, as its coordinator will be representing the country in the second meeting of Nepal-China Joint Trade Taskforce scheduled to take place on September 12-15 in Beijing of China.

Similarly, the cabinet has agreed to designate joint-secretary Madhu Prasad Bhetuwal as the Chief Executive Officer of Pancheshwor Development Authority till June 10, 2024 on behalf of Nepal.

Similarly, joint secretaries Deepak Lamichanne, Ram Gopal Kharbuja, and Indira Dahal Bhattarai have been assigned to take charge of executive officers (administration, environment and law, respectively).

Approving the recommendation of the Judicial Service Commission, the government has promoted joint secretary Phanindra Gautam and appointed him as the secretary of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
