KATHMANDU: In a strategic move to bolster its security capabilities, the Council of Ministers has sanctioned the acquisition of 21 Remotely Piloted Aircraft (drones) from China’s Tibet Autonomous Region.
This initiative stems from the Security Equipment Under Grant Assistance project facilitated by Tibet’s Public Security Department. The drones are slated to be provided to Nepal’s Ministry of Home, further strengthening the nation’s security apparatus.
The momentous decision was reached during a Cabinet meeting convened at the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers office in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, on Tuesday.
