Siblings die due to drowning



KAPILVASTU: Two siblings of the same family have died due to drowning in a pond at Bagahi, Krishnanagar Municipality-5 in Kapilbastu district.

Bagahi settlement is in grief following the death of the two brothers. The deceased are seven-year-old Sajan and five-year-old Rajan, the two sons of Ram Avatar Yadav of the locality.

The boys died due to drowning in a pond near the house, said Laxman Oli, Inspector at the Area Police Office.

The bodies of the siblings were found in the pond at 7 am today in course of a search for them.

The pond was formed after removing the earth, it is said. The boys had gone missing since Tuesday evening.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
