Gandaki provincial govt serious about rights of indigenous people: CM Pandey



GANDAKI: Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Surendra Raj Pandey today said the provincial government was sensitive about the rights of the indigenous nationalities.

In a message of best wishes today on the occasion of the International Day of World’s Indigenous Peoples, he said, “Gandaki Province has ethnic diversity.

Indigenous nationalities are rich in language, culture, traditional knowledge and natural resources. It is the responsibility of all of us to uplift indigenous nationalities who are suppressed in view of their rights and economic development,” reads the message.

The Day is being observed today across the globe including in Nepal with the slogan – ‘Indigenous youth as agents of change for self-determination’.
