Three party leaders holding meeting to end House obstruction

KATHMANDU: Leaders of three major political parties are holding a discussion aimed at resolving the impasse in the House of Representatives.

Among the figures participating are Prime Minister and Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, CPN UML leader KP Oli, and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The meeting, hosted at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, will also include deputy leaders and chief whips representing all three parties.

This meeting holds particular significance as it precedes the scheduled 1 pm session of the House of Representatives today.

Worth mentioning is the obstruction of the House meeting by the UML on the previous Tuesday, where they pressed for the establishment of a high-level committee to probe the 100-kilo gold smuggling case.
