Can’t tolerate Maoist’s defamatory statement against UML: Oli

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has restated his party’s demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”.

“In all honesty, it was Prime Minister Dahal who obstructed the Parliament, not us,” Oli told journalists at the Parliament building premises on Sunday afternoon.

Chairman Oli held Prime Minister Dahal responsible for leveling “grave allegations” against the UML.

UML Chairman Oli stated that he has urged PM Dahal to remove the obstruction of the House of Representatives by stepping down.

“On July 6, the Prime Minister made a serious defamatory statement against the UML. He must retract it,” Oli insisted.

The Maoist Center had last week dubbed UML’s stance as an endeavor to fulfill its misguided intentions.

“It is just the attempt to fulfill the partisan interest by trying to misinterpret the statement given by the Prime Minister with good intention,” the Maoist Center said last week, expressing its concern over the obstruction of the Parliament, the platform for exercising and promoting democracy, over the matter.
