SC directs to register ‘war crimes’ related writ against PM Dahal and former PM Bhattarai

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has revoked its administration’s decision not to register a writ relating to War Crime for the alleged involvement of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai.

The SC ordered on Friday to register the ‘war crime’ allegation comprising the writ of the then minor soldier Lenin Bista against PM Dahal and Dr. Bhattarai.

Petitioner Bista informed that Justice Anand Mohan Bhattarai’s single bench directed the SC administration to register the writ.

“Friday’s order has paved the way to register a writ regarding ‘war crime’ against the then rebel leader PM Dahal and former PM Bhattarai,” Bista said.

He informed that he, along with many others, will file a writ petition against PM Dahal and many other leaders, on Sunday.

The writ petitioner has demanded PM Dahal’s dismissal from the post of Prime Minister.
