Firm commitment needed to end corruption: Dr Bhattarai



KATHMANDU: Nepal Samajwadi Party (NSP) Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that the politicians should advance ahead with firm commitments to end corruption in the country.

Dr Bhattarai said that politicians and government employees should make such commitments to curb corruption.

“The ill practice of corruption has peaked. The time has come to seek those not indulged in corruption. We are going through a very serious infectious stage of corruption,” he argued.

Dr Bhattarai stated that the country should achieve the target of prosperity by delivering good governance and ending corruption in the country.

He also said Nepal’s leftist parties cannot sustain longer in status quo and pitched for unity among progressive, democratic and socialist forces.
