Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said he has a resolution to take the Sudurpaschim to a new development phase. Addressing the Third Convocation Ceremony of the Far Western University here today, PM Dahal sought everyone’s cooperation in this new phase of development. He stressed on the need of producing skilled human resources for charting the course of action for social transformation.

Nepali Congress (NC) leader Bal Krishna Khand has claimed that the provincial governments will be formed immediately after the April 23 by-elections. Speaking at a press conference in Janpurdham, Khand said that the ruling parties will form state governments after the by-elections.

NEPSE declines by double digit on Sunday, turnover exceeds Rs one billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) declined by double digits on Sunday, the first trading day of the week. The stock market decreased by 28.31 points and came to 1838.48 points. This is a decline of 1.52 percent. However, the turnover on Sunday exceeded Rs 1 billion.

Ratna Temple likely to remain open to public on New Year: Minister Kirati

Man killed in motorcycle-truck collision

A man was killed when a motorcycle he was riding and a truck collided head-on at the main chowk of Gaighat bazaar in Udayapur district today morning. The deceased identified as Tarani Thapamagar, 43, of Triyuga Municipality-11 died on the spot, said the police.

Govt bringing new Tourism Act

The government is preparing to bring a new Tourism Act, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kirati said. Minister Kirati said the new Tourism Act will be contextual by revising several issues of the existing Act.
