EC to submit report on presidential election to President on Friday



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) is to submit a report along with the result of the presidential election held today to President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Friday.

EC’s Spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Paudyal said that the EC is scheduled to submit the report along with the election result as per the Clause 60 of the President and Vice-President Election Act-2074 BS.

Likewise, the EC has stated that the presidential election today was held in a peaceful and enthusiastic manner and has thanked all the political parties, candidates, officials, security personnel and all others for their role in conducting the polls in a free, fair, credible, transparent and fearless manner.
