Education should be linked to employment, production: Dr. Bhattarai



KATHMANDU: Former prime minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said education should be catered to ensure life skills and employment.

The former prime minister Dr Bhattarai said it while inaugurating a science exhibition organized by the South Western College here Thursday. He underscored that education must be linked to employment and production.
He viewed thousands of students fly abroad for higher study every year.

It is time for the State and educational institutions to create atmosphere to retain youth within country by providing quality education. Technical, vocational and skill-based education will help control Nepali students’ exodus, according to him.

On the occasion, Mayor of Tarakeshwor Municipality, Krishna Hari Maharjan, viewed the municipality had paid attention on providing quality education.

Campus Chief Dr Rajendra Singh KC said educational institutes could pay heed to producing human resources as market demand.

The two-day exhibition is held in the campus premises, Basundhara, Kathmandu.
