KATHMANDU: The Chairman of the main opposition party CPN-UML, KP Oli, has accused the incumbent coalition government of undermining national interests.

During his address at the Mahakali-Mechi Campaign held by the party in Pokhara on Friday, Chairman Oli alleged that the current ruling coalition was sidelining the UML’s stance on nationalism.

He accused the government of solely engaging in activities that oppose the UML and claimed that the coalition is apprehensive about the UML’s strength and increasing popularity.

“The government is alarmed by our growing strength and popularity and is plotting against us rather than addressing the people’s agenda,” stated the UML Chairman.

Oli criticized the coalition government for its failure to prioritize development and for neglecting public concerns.

He highlighted the UML’s commitment to resolving immediate issues and urged others to unite for the betterment of the country. Oli referred to Mission 084 as a strategy to tackle the current dire situation, stating, “Mission 084 aims for a prosperous and content Nepal, securing a dominant majority for UML, and reversing the country’s current distressing state.”

The statement stressed the urgency to rectify the ongoing unfortunate situation and blamed the coalition for undermining Nepal’s national interests.
