PM Dahal inaugurates Lumbini Cable Car



BUTWAL: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” inaugurated the Lumbini Cable Car in Butwal on Thursday.

The cable car, which is about 3 km from Golpark in Butwal to Basantapur in Palpa with 24 gondolas, was built with the investment of IME Group.

The cable car has started commercial operations from today itself.

Chairman of Lumbini Cable Car Pvt. Ltd. Chandra Prasad Dhakal said that the operation of Lumbini Cable Car has added a new religious and tourist destination to Basantapur.

He said that investments were made in the cable car seeing the possibility of attracting Indians from various cities including Gorakhpur and Lucknow.

According to him, the total cost of the project, including the cable car and resort, is Rs 5 billion.
