Govt has to take a loan to pay salary to employees: DPM Khadka



SURKHET: Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka has said that the government has been facing pressure as it has to take loans to pay salaries to the employees.

Speaking to media persons at Surkhet Airport on Saturday, the Deputy Prime Minister mentioned that the economy of the country is going through a bad situation.

“The country’s economy is becoming negative and weak, and there is a situation where we have to take loans to pay the employees,” Defense Minister Khadka said.

Mentioning that the government has recently introduced the common minimum program (CMP), he added that the budget for next financial year would be based on the government’s policies and programs as indicated in the CMP.

Deputy Prime Minister Khadka assured to prioritize the Karnali region and its development in the forthcoming fiscal year.

He said that Nepali Congress will break the unnatural alliance with UML in the Karnali province and would join the provincial government soon.
