RPP decides to remain neutral in presidential election



KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has decided to maintain neutrality in the March 9 presidential election and not favor both CPN-UML candidate Subash Nembang and Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Ram Chandra Poudel in the election.

A meeting of the Central Work Execution Committee of the party held today at the party headquarters, Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu, took the decision to remain neutral in the election.

Talking to media persons after the meeting, RPP Spokesperson Mohan Shrestha said the party decided not to participate in voting process and to remain neutral in the presidential election. The party made this decision as per the sentiment of cadres, well-wishers and people, he added.

NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and UML Vice-Chairperson Nembang are contesting in the election.
