LSP to file chairman Thakur as presidential candidate



KATHMANDU: The Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP) has decided to present party chairman Mahantha Thakur as its presidential candidate.

While the major political parties are undecided on the name of the candidate for the President, LSP decided to put Thakur’s name ahead.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and UML chairman KP Oli discussed the issue of the President on Wednesday morning.

Both leaders agreed to discuss the issue of presidential candidate at the meeting of the high-level political mechanism on Thursday.
