NSP forming team to initiate party unity



KATHMANDU: Nepal Samajwadi Party (NSP) led by Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai is forming a team to initiate unity among the left parties.

NSP leader Ganga Narayan Shrestha said that a meeting of the party’s political committee will form a negotiation team today.

Bishwadeep Pandey, head of the party’s publicity department, said that the meeting will discuss the matters of accelerating the process of unity with the parties having similar principles.

Pandey said that the issue of socialism, strengthening the party’s organization, issues of various level conferences of the party, review of elections, current political issues, upcoming strategies and other agendas will also be discussed in the political meeting today.

The party contested the November 20 election with the election symbol of the Maoist Center.
