KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda highlighted the ongoing improvements in the economy but expressed concern that the populace has not yet experienced a surge in optimism.
Speaking at a program in Kathmandu on Thursday, PM Dahal emphasized the sustained efforts to foster an investment-friendly environment, recognizing the necessity to alleviate economic pressures.
“Continuous endeavors have been made to alleviate existing economic pressures and infuse hope through the creation of an investment-friendly atmosphere in the country,” he asserted.
Acknowledging his commitment to alleviating economic burdens, PM Dahal said, “I have consistently strived to mitigate economic pressures and instill hope through interactions and important announcements. I believe that these initiatives will significantly contribute to enhancing the economic landscape.”
While noting a discernible improvement in the economy, PM Dahal underscored the importance of intensifying efforts to communicate hope to the people.
“Although signs of economic improvement are apparent, there is a need to work harder to instill a sense of hope among the masses,” he stated.
In his pursuit of revitalizing hope, he announced plans for a more comprehensive meeting and new announcements focused on economic improvement.
“We are preparing for a broader engagement, anticipating active participation, valuable suggestions, and a commitment to implementation,” he affirmed.
Furthermore, PM Dahal disclosed a gathering on Wednesday, wherein discussions centered on government reforms involving both current and former government employees.
He expressed optimism, saying, “Significant suggestions and guidelines have emerged from that meeting. If innovative steps are taken in governance reforms, we believe it will directly impact the economy.”
