Govt forms high-level committee to investigate Ncell share issue



KATHMANDU: In response to the Ncell share purchase and sale case, the government has taken decisive action by forming a high-level committee dedicated to thorough investigation.

A 5-member high-level committee was formed established during a cabinet meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Durbar this morning with former Auditor General Tanka Mani Sharma appointed as its chairperson.

Minister of Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma said the committee’s composition, which includes key figures such as Law Secretary Phanindra Gautam from the Prime Minister’s Office, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Communications Baburam Bhandari, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Ritesh Kumar Shakya, and ICAN Chairman Sujan Kumar Kafle.

The committee has been entrusted with a 30-day timeline to meticulously examine and compile a comprehensive report on the Ncell share buying and selling scandal.
