JAJARKOT: President Ram Chandra Paudel, who initially planned to embark on a 10-day European tour, altered his schedule to prioritize the earthquake-affected areas.
Departing via a Nepali Army (NA) helicopter on Tuesday morning, President Paudel flew to Jajarkot to personally assess the situation in Jajarkot and Rukum West.
The President faced public backlash over the timing of his European visit, leading to the postponement of his plans.
Considering the gravity of the situation at home following the devastating earthquake that claimed numerous lives, President Paudel, accompanied by his advisors, demonstrated a responsive approach by redirecting his immediate attention to the affected regions.
With a clear understanding that the country’s current state demands his attention, President Paudel reiterated the importance of being present and actively involved in managing the aftermath of a natural disaster of this magnitude.
