UML obstructs National Assembly, meeting adjourned till Sunday



KATHMANDU: The main opposition party CPN-UML has obstructed the National Assembly meeting on Friday demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

UML obstructed the meeting as soon as it started on Friday morning. Immediately after NA Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina announced the parliament meeting, the UML lawmakers stoop up in protest against Prime Minister Dahal and demanded his resignation.

As the lawmakers did not take their seats despite Chairman Timilsina’s request, the lawmakers continued the protest and refused to sit down.

Chairman Timilsina postponed the meeting till 11.30 am on Sunday.
