KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has decided to remove the age limit of 70 years.

According to sources, the CPN-UML has decided to remove the age limit and amend the party statute to accommodate Mukunda Neupane, who recently returned from the Unified Socialist Party, as a central member.

In a meeting of the party’s Secretariat, the decision to include Neupane, who is above the age of 70, as a central member was barred by the party’s existing statute.

In the party’s statute, there is a provision that no committee member should be above 70 years of age.
