PM Dahal appoints NC’s Surendra Acharya as Minister



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has appointed Surendra Acharya of the Nepali Congress as a Minister.

He will be sworn in today after at President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas.

Prime Minister Dahal appointed Acharya as the Minister of Women, Children and Senior Citizens.

Mahindra Rai Yadav, who is currently the Minister of Women, Children and Senior Citizens, will be given the responsibility of the Ministry of Forests and Environment.

Prime Minister Dahal was handling the Ministry of Forestry.

Newly-appointed Minister Acharya was elected to the House of Representatives from Kapilvastu Constituency-2.
