KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Constitutional Council is taking place on Monday.

The meeting will be held at the Prime Minister’s Office, Singha Durbar.

The decision to this effect was made at a meeting held between Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli on Saturday afternoon.

The meeting of the Constitutional Council will discuss the appointment of a Chief Justice (CJ), sources claimed.

It may be noted that the previous meeting of the Constitutional Council to recommend the appointment of the Chief Justice ended inconclusively.
