Women’s health conference to kick off on March 9



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population is organizing a women’s health conference on March 9 and 10.

This information was given by Dr Bibek Kumar Lal, Director of the Family Health Division, in a press conference the Department of Health Services convened today.

Dr Lal said that the conference is being organized to identify the problems seen in women’s health and the measures to address them. He said the conference will focus on the multi-dimensional issues of women’s health.

According to him, the conference will deliberate on sexual and reproductive health, non-transmissible diseases, the health of children, adolescents and senior citizens and women health and nutrition calling for humanitarian assistance, among other topics.
