RPP calls work execution committee meeting on Wednesday

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has said it will take a decision in connection with the Presidential election considering the larger interests.

RPP spokesman Mohan Shrestha said a meeting of the party’s central work execution committee has been called for Wednesday to make a decision in connection with the election of the President.

“A meeting has been called for 1:00pm on Wednesday in the context of the President election. We are all open as regards all options and we will take decision taking into consideration the party’s larger interests,” he said.

The RPP spokesman said discussions will be held on various alternatives in context of the Presidential election. Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and the CPN (UML) vice-chairperson Subas Chandra Nembang have filed their candidacies for the election to the President to be held on March 9.

RPP at a meeting on February 24 said that it will neither propose the name of any candidate nor second any proposal to this effect in the President election.
