KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” underscored the critical importance of service quality in shaping public perception and satisfaction with the government.

Prime Minister Dahal expressed his belief that services, rather than mere philosophy or ideology, hold the key to winning the support and trust of the people.

Speaking at a program in Lalitpur on Wednesday, he acknowledged the ongoing efforts of the government in pursuing goals of good governance, social justice, and prosperity.

However, he also acknowledged that complete satisfaction among the populace had not been achieved, and economic improvement, while underway, still faced challenges.

Speaking openly about the need for strategic and immediate action, Prime Minister Dahal called for a concrete agenda to be developed in collaboration with all concerned sectors.

He commended the bureaucracy of the country as being among the best globally, citing its professionalism, efficiency, and experience.

Nevertheless, he highlighted the existing gap between political leadership and bureaucracy in terms of achieving desired results.

Addressing this concern, the Prime Minister proposed a collaborative discussion between current and former bureaucratic leadership to bridge the gap and enhance effectiveness in governance.

This initiative, he believed, would contribute to the ongoing efforts of the government to ensure good governance and elevate the nation’s reputation both nationally and internationally.

Prime Minister Dahal further disclosed that this discussion is taking place in the context of reviewing the 15th Plan and formulating the 16th Plan.

As the government engages in policy, program, and budget-making for the upcoming year, he expressed confidence that the outcomes of these deliberations will serve as a valuable guide for the government’s future endeavors.
