Chinese Ambassador Song calls on Prime Minister Dahal

KATHMANDU: The Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, held a meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Monday.

According to Baluwatar sources, the two leaders discussed the recent earthquake that struck Nepal on Friday, as well as various current and political matters.

Ambassador Song inquired with the Prime Minister about the extent of the damage caused by the earthquake, which had its epicenter in Jajarkot.

Ambassador Song assured the Prime Minister that China would provide the necessary relief aid to support the earthquake victims.

China has already pledged relief materials valued at 100 million for the areas affected by the earthquake, including Jajarkot and Rukum West. However, it will take some time for these relief materials to reach Nepal.
