KATHMANDU: As Nepal is experiencing a partial effect of western wind, it is leading to specific weather patterns across the country.
According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the hilly areas of the country are currently experiencing generally clear conditions, while the rest of Nepal is encountering partly cloudy weather.
This afternoon, the hilly regions are expected to maintain their generally clear conditions.
The Division has forecasted a chance of light rain accompanied by thunder or lightning at isolated locations in the hilly areas.
Moreover, there is a possibility of light snowfall at a few spots in the high hills and Himalayan regions during the afternoon.
Regarding other regions, including the southern plains, it has forecasted generally clear weather tonight.
However, the hilly areas may experience partly cloudy skies during the night.
