LOD owner Raju Singh Suwal arrested from Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: Police arrested Raju Singh Suwal, one of the Directors of LOD (Lord of Drinks), a popular nightclub in Thamel, Kathmandu, in Baluwatar on Thursday.

Earlier, an arrest warrant had been issued by the Lalitpur District Court for Rudil Ballav Shrestha, who was also associated with Suwal in the club’s management.

Suwal’s arrest was made by the Kathmandu Police in accordance with the warrant.

At the Company Registrar’s Office, only Shrestha and Suwal are listed as Directors in the company’s management.

It is important to note that on June 14, a 16-year-old girl, who had visited LOD on June 13, was taken from the club to Lalitpur where she was raped.

Sudan Bahadur Koirala has already been arrested by the police in connection with the rape case involving the minor at LOD (Lord of Drinks) Club in Thamel.

According to the victim’s statement to the police, she was raped in Bagdol on the morning of June 14.

After receiving the complaint, the police arrested Koirala and initiated an investigation.

During the investigation, Koirala claimed that the victim was not a minor, as LOD does not permit minors inside the club.
