Prime Minister Dahal’s resignation unimaginable: Minister Sharma

KATHMANDU: Spokesperson of the Government and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma has made it clear that the resignation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is unimaginable and he will not resign either.

At a program held at the ministry today to share the decisions of the latest cabinet meeting, she said that it has been proven that this is not a matter that should be raised as the concerned person has already clarified the Prime Minister’s statement.

“The Prime Minister has already said that it was a reference to the past and the concerned person too had further clarified it. So the Prime Minister resigning over the matter is unthinkable.”

It may be noted that the main opposition CPN (UML) has demanded that the Prime Minister resign by disrupting the Parliament over the statement given by him.

Stating that the parliament proceedings should not be obstructed by taking over a statement given by the Prime Minister at any informal program, Minister Sharma said as a result of the act of the UML the law against the act of usury has failed to come into effect.
