One arrested for raping a minor in Lalitpur

Arrest warrant issued against LOD owners as well



LALITPUR: Police have arrested a person for raping a minor girl who had gone to LOD (Lord of Drinks) Club in Thamel.

Siddhi Bikram Shah, SSP at the District Police Circle, Lalitpur, said that 50-year-old Sudan Bahadur Koirala, was arrested on the charge of raping a 16-year-old girl who had gone to LOD Club on June 13.

According to him, the victim reported to the police that she was raped in Bagdol in the morning on June 14.

After the complaint, police arrested Koirala and launched an investigation.

During the statement, he claimed that the victim was not a minor as LOD does not allow minors inside the Club.

After his statement, police have also launched an investigation on the owners – Rudil Ballav Shrestha and Raju Singh Suwal – on the issue.

Sources, meanwhile, said that arrest warrants have been issued against LOD owners.
