Myanmar beat Nepal by 5-0 in AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers

KATHMANDU: Nepal has had a disappointing start in the AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers’ second round.

In a match held at the Thuvunna Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar, Nepal suffered a significant 5-0 defeat against the host team. Yun Wadi and Jin Moi Pai each scored a goal, while Yin Lun In completed a hat trick to secure victory for Myanmar. Nepal conceded two goals in the first half and three more in the second half.

Nepal is placed in Group ‘B’ alongside China, Chinese Taipei, and Myanmar. The next match for Nepal will be against China on Thursday, followed by the final match against Chinese Taipei on Saturday.

In the previous round of qualifying, Nepal showcased a dominant performance by defeating Palestine and Mariana Iceland with a score line of 6-0, earning them a spot in the second round.
