Schools closed for five days due to scorching heat



TANAHU: Schools in Devghat of Tanahu district have stopped teaching-learning activities for five days to avoid the scorching heat.

Devghat Rural Municipality decided to close down all schools at ward no 1 and 5 for five days in a bid to avoid excessive heat.

The education section chief at the rural municipality, Hom Nath Lamichhane, informed that the schools were closed after complaints of difficulty to run classes smoothly reasoning scorching heat.

Other wards however witness less temperature, so the schools will run the classes regularly, he added.

The schools would manage the closure time to be curtailed from summer vacation, it is learned.

The students have been urged to involve in creative works and study at home during the leave.
