Ruling coalition preparing to unveil government’s CMP today



KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition is expected to unveil the government’s priorities and Common Minimum Program (CMP) today.

A meeting of the leader of the ruling coalition held on Wednesday decided to unveil the government’s CMP on Thursday.

The report prepared by the task force of the ruling coalition has prioritized nine major topics.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s secretariat stated that the CMP will be unveiled by giving a final touch on Thursday.

A meeting of the cabinet to be held today itself will endorse the CMP, a Baluwatar source said.

The members in the task force include Ramesh Lekhak of Nepali Congress, Shakti Basnet of Maoist Center, Rajendra Shrestha of Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal and Bijay Paudel of Unified Socialist.
