Presidential candidate Ramchandra Paudel seeks RPP votes

KATHMANDU: Presidential candidate Ramchandra Poudel has sought votes from Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) in the election set for March 9.

Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Poudel reached RPP central office in Dhumbarahi on Monday and asked for votes from the RPP leaders including chairman Lingden.

In response, RPP chairman Lingden replied that it will be an institutional decision.

RPP, which is institutionally standing in favor of monarchy, has not decided whether to vote in the presidential election or not.

The RPP said that the decision will be taken only on March 9, as they have diverse views on whether to take part in the presidential election or not.

RPP has 2,450 votes in the presidential election.
