KATHMANDU: A meeting of the task force aimed at finalizing the draft of the government’s Common Minimum Program (CMP) is underway at the Ministry of Finance, Singha Durbar.
Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel said that the task force meeting will finalize the draft of the CMP of the government.
The meeting of the task force was held on Thursday as well.
Since Maoist Center leader and member of the task force Barsa Man Pun was unable to participate in the meeting due to ill health, the finalization of the draft was postponed to Friday.
A leader said that the CMP will also includes the formation of a high-level commission to investigate the assets of those holding public positions as well as for judicial reform, corruption control and good governance, among others.
The draft finalized by the task force will then be endorsed by top leaders of the ruling parties.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda will then announce the government’s CMP before taking the vote of confidence.
Prime Minister Prachanda is taking the vote of confidence on January 10.
