Israeli ‘Heroes for Life’ to volunteer in Kathmandu schools

KATHMANDU: The Israeli non-governmental organization ‘Heroes for Life’ has commenced a two-week mission in Nepal, where they will volunteer in five distinct schools in the Kathmandu Valley.

A delegation consisting of 34 Israeli volunteers will primarily concentrate on improving infrastructure and education within these Valley schools, as stated in an official communication from the Embassy of Israel.

“This collaborative effort does not only address educational goals but also foster people-to-people connection between Nepalese and Israelis,” the statement said.

It added that the enduring friendship between Nepal and Israel is showcased once again through “Heroes for Life”; this volunteering activity is one part of many other projects made during 63 years of relations between Nepal and Israel.

The dedicated Israeli volunteers are committed to their mission in Nepal and will remain there until October 14.
