PM Dahal initiates negotiations with Gaur Massacre Victims’ families

KATHMANDU: In response to the ongoing struggle of the Gaur Massacre Victims’ Struggle Committee, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has taken a significant step by meeting with the families of the victims.

Following a personal invitation from Prime Minister Dahal, the Gaur Massacre Victims Struggle Committee’s team assembled at Baluwatar on Saturday morning.

During the meeting at Baluwatar, both parties reached a crucial agreement to establish a negotiation team led by the Home Secretary. The team will address the demands put forward by the Victims’ Struggle Committee and strive to achieve a concrete consensus on the matter.

The Gaur Massacre, which took place in the past, has left a lasting impact on the affected families, and their quest for justice has led to sustained protests and demands. With the formation of the negotiation team, there is hope for meaningful dialogue and progress toward finding a resolution to the long-standing grievances.

The involvement of the Home Secretary in leading the negotiation team indicates the government’s commitment to addressing the concerns of the victims’ families and finding an amicable solution to the issues raised by the Gaur Massacre Victims’ Struggle Committee.
