Bailey bridge installed over Bhurung rivulet in two weeks



BENI: A bailey bridge has been constructed over the Bhurung rivulet along the Beni-Jomsom road that links Mustang with the national highway via the northern belt of Myagdi within two weeks.

Chief of Beni-Jomsom-Korola Road Project, Jagat Prajapati informed the 30-meter-long Bailey bridge has been installed over the Bhurung rivulet at Annapurna Rural Municiplaiuty-2 of Myagdi at the cost of Rs 3.5 million.

The Bailey bridge of the Lete Rivulet in Mustang under the road section was shifted to Bhurung rivulet.

“A recent flooding in Bhurung rivulet has swept away a culvert over there”, he said, adding, “The Bailey bridge has been immediately installed to prevent problems in traffic operation on the Beni-Jomsom road even during flooding”.

The installation of the Bailey bridge that started in the first week of Ashad has been completed, informed member of Annapurna municipal executive member Bir Bahadur Poudel, adding means of transport are operating now along the road with the bridge in place.
