ACHHAM: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma has directed a query towards CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane regarding the significance behind their ‘Mission 084’.

During a party-organized event in Achham on Monday, Sharma emphasized the need to consider elections in 2084 as a natural event. He critiqued the recent activities where individuals from different districts, including Oli and Lamichhane, had shown involvement in what they referred to as ‘Mission 84’ and launched the election-centered programs instead of development focused one.

Expressing skepticism about the obsessive focus on upcoming elections, Sharma urged political parties to prioritize broader visions beyond election cycles. He suggested concentrating on developmental agendas for the present, leaving election concerns for the appropriate time.

Highlighting the importance of future planning, Sharma proposed ‘Vision-95’, advocating for a discussion on where the country should be in 15 years rather than fixating solely on the next election cycle.

He stated that a clear path and defined goals would guide the nation’s trajectory, regardless of the changing governments, urging a collective focus on constructive initiatives in the interim.
