Kantilokpath connecting Hetauda to Kathmandu obstructed

MAKWANPUR: Two sections of the road connecting Hetauda to Kathmandu have been blocked since this morning due to rainfall-triggered landslides.

Laxmi Bhandari, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office in Makwanpur, said that traffic has been blocked since this morning due to a landslide at Bhattedanda in Lalitpur, along the Kantilokpath road section that connects Hetauda to Kathmandu.

Similarly, traffic has been blocked in various places under the Kulekhani-Sisneri road section due to landslides.

According to the police, preparations are being made to remove the landslides on both road sections by this afternoon and restore traffic operations
