Bagmati Provincial Assembly meeting taking place today

HETAUDA: After a two-day postponement marred by controversy, the Bagmati Provincial Assembly is set to reconvene today.

The assembly meeting is scheduled to commence at 4:00 PM at the Bagmati Province Parliament in Hetauda.

The assembly session originally resumed on Monday but faced obstruction from the main opposition party, CPN-UML, resulting in an adjournment.

Tuesday’s meeting also failed to take place as the UML maintained its stance of disruption.

The primary point of contention revolves around the UML’s interruption of the session during the presentation of a bill aimed at regulating the management and control of state-level lotteries introduced by the state government.
