KATHMANDU: Nepal’s opening batsman Asif Shaikh has scored a half-century against India in Asia Cup 2023.
He completed 50 runs in 88 balls with the help of 7 fours. At that time, Nepal scored 134 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 30.0 overs.
Kushal Malla was dismissed for 2 runs as the fourth wicket in the match.
Captain Rohit Paudel was bowled for 5 runs by Ravindra Jadeja. Bhim Sarki was also bowled in 16 overs by India’s Ravindra Jadeja for 7 runs.
Kushal Bhurtel of Nepal was dismissed after scoring 38 runs. He hit 3 fours and 2 sixes in 25 balls before being dismissed in the fifth ball of the tenth over by Shardul Thakur. He shared 65 runs in 9.5 overs with Asif Shaikh for the first wicket.
Bhurtel hit consecutive fours and a six against India.
