Landslide obstructed Saljhandi-Dhorpatan road section resumes after 23 hourss

BAGLUNG: Saljhandi-Dhorpatan road, which was obstructed due to a landslide triggered by incessant rainfall, has resumed after 23 hours.

Deputy Mayor of Dhorpatan municipality, Dhan Bahadur Kayat (Kalyan) shared that the road section obstructed from Thursday afternoon has resumed today after 23 hours.

The road was obstructed due to a landslide that occurred at Dogadi Bridge, the border of Dhorpatan municipality 5 and 6.

Vehicles heading towards Burtibang, Pokhara, Kathmandu, and Butwal from Dhorpatan, Bobang, and Phalleghar were stranded following road obstructions.

With the resumption of the road section, all the stranded vehicles are headed toward their destinations, added Kayat.

Although efforts were made to resume the traffic on Thursday itself, it was not possible due to a large landslide following the incessant rainfall.

The traffic along the road section has been resumed from this afternoon by removing the landslide debris using a dozer from this morning, he mentioned.
