House of Representatives meeting taking place today

UML seeking PM Dahal’s response on India visit

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives is taking place today.

In the meeting to be held at the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwar, lawmakers will start a discussion on the budget presented by the government for the next fiscal year.

On the other hand, the main opposition party CPN-UML said it would seek a response from Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda about his Indian visit.

Prime Minister Dahal returned from his four-day India visit on Saturday.

“We have decided to ask PM Dahal on some important issues,” UML leader Subash Chandra Nemwang said.

The CPN-UML is likely to seek an answer from Prime Minister Dahal about giving amnesty of Resham Chaudhary, who was found guilty in the 2015Tikapur incident, authentication of the Citizenship Bill by President, and PM Dahal’s discussion with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the border issue.
