Gandaki Chief Minister Pandey secures vote of confidence

POKHARA: Gandaki Chief Minister (CM) Surendra Pandey received a vote of confidence from the Province Assembly on Thursday.

The motion of confidence presented by CM Pandey was passed by a majority.

Chief Minister Pandey received the votes from 35 MPs including 27 from the Nepali Congress, 7 from the Maoist Center and 1 from the CPN United Socialist Party.

22 MPs of CPN-UML voted against him while 2 MPs of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) abstained.
