Gandaki Chief Minister taking vote of confidence today



POKHARA: Surendra Raj Pandey, the newly-appointed Chief Minister (CM) of Gandaki Province, is taking the vote of confidence today.

Prem Subedi, the Spokesperson of the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, said that CM Pandey is seeking a vote of confidence in the Provincial Assembly meeting today (Thursday) afternoon.

Pandey, the leader of the Nepali Congress Gandaki Province Parliamentary Party, was appointed as the Chief Minister on April 27.

He has the support of a total of 35 members of the Provincial Assembly, including 27 from the Nepali Congress, 7 from the Maoist Center, and 1 from the Unified Socialist.

CM Pandey took the oath of office on April 28.
